Dolcetto is a red wine grape mostly found in the Piedmont region of Italy with small amounts of it found in other places. Its name means "little sweet one" but the wines are dry. It produces wines that are rich, round, soft and fruity with black cherry and licorice aromas and flavours and a bitter almond finish. It is well-known as a food wine and pairs well with a traditional antipasto platter.
