The 2010 Beronia Reserva, comprised of Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo of unknown proportions and aged in French and American Oaks for 18 months, has desirable aromas of barnyard, coconut and dark cherry on the nose and coconut, vanilla, oak, cranberry and red currant. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, integrated wine; with excellent acidity, refined tannins (decant for 30+ min) and a long finish. This is a food friendly wine, but enjoy on its own; drink now till 2020 (long cork enclosure). My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 90-91 pts – recommended for its quality and value. Tasted in Dec/14.

At 2$ off in July 2015, this is excellent value. Smooth with a long finish, I don't sense a lot of complexity, but the tannins are indeed refined. I will buy this again.
Dark ruby red, bordering on opaque. On the nose, aromatic black cherry and other dark fruit, as well as tobacco, cedar and sweet spice. Let this one breathe for at least an hour. It is very grippy with equally high acidity, for a simultaneous drying yet mouthwatering sensation. This full-bodied red boasts red cherry and berries, clove, herbs, cedar and some minerality on the palate. I quite enjoyed drinking this rioja with beef stew, but think it would go very nicely with any grilled red meat. It could also stand to be aged for a few more years, which would take the tannin edge off.
