Top notch Gamay from Ontario. Balanced tannins really lets the fruit shine through on this great Gamay. Great acidity lends this wine for a good aging candidate and can be drunken now or really enjoyed in a few years.
Clearly, one of the more serious gamays in Niagara. A wine with plenty of red fruit, good structure and fine acidity. A fair whack of vanilla from the oak ageing accompanies all that fruit and therein lies my only complaint of this wine....a bit too much oak. I find this a common issue (for me) with many Niagara reds. I would hesitate to say over-oaked in this case, just that it takes away from the character of the gamay grape.
