The 2009 Geyser Peak Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from Alexander Valley in Sonoma County, has deep notes of tobacco, toast, wood, cherry/black cherry, red currant, vanilla and dates. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, integrated wine; BALANCED with good acidity, refined tannins and a long finish. Though food friendly, sip this wine; drink now to 2020+. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts – recommended for quality and value. Tasted in Apr/14 at 'California Wine Fair' http://grapeselections.com/grapeselections/wine-reviews/.
