A reasonable priced (by LCBO standards) red from the Rioja. Medium bodied, with well-defined flavours in the red fruit spectrum. Oak is noted but well-integrated, finishing with a pleasant hint of tart red fruit. I think a shade behind the '09 that I tasted last fall, but still a worthy purchase. For current/short-term consumption. Tasted March 2014.
