An interesting wine. Definitely saw some oak, which gave it strong smoke and roasted almond aromas. These are accompanied by grilled pineapple, grapefruit, and peach. On the palate some pear, nutmeg, and a touch of honey emerge. Full bodied. Medium high acidity. There seems to be a little bit of tannic astringency extracted from the oak. Medium length, with pear, almond, and smoke.
