The 2009 Clos Figueras, tasted from a barrel sample, exhibits mineral, Asian spices, incense, and assorted black fruits that inform the nose of this rich, structured, already complex offering. Full-bodied yet nicely proportioned with excellent volume and length, it will benefit from 4-5 years of cellaring and will deliver pleasure through 2024, perhaps longer. Score - 93-96.
