Cooper's Hawk Riesling 2012, VQA Lake Erie North Shore
Riesling
Ontario, Canada
$16.95 (318402)
Reminiscent of the Mosel style, this is quite expressive with pear, apple, citrus zest, clay and river stones. Juicy, softly textured and brilliantly fresh, with a good kick of mid-palate acidity and a lingering, lip-smacking finish. A lovely Riesling at a great price. This will make a versatile food wine to savour with lake fish, roast turkey breast or pork chops. (VINTAGES panel, Dec. 2012)Critic Reviews (0)

The 2012 Cooper’s Hawk Riesling has appealing aromas of apricots. It is a medium bodied, med-sweet, fruity wine, with good acidity and a medium, sweet finish. Drink with food; drink now – 2018. My impression: NICE, 88 pts. Tasted at 'Taste Ontario 2013' http://grapeselections.com/taste-ontario-2013/ in October/13.
