Super wine here from Arrowood, all class and finesse. It has evolved, spicy, smoky, meaty and integrated wood spice...
Slightly cloudy, spicy, sage, pepper, black cherry, cola. Full, bodied, dense sweet and streamlined, hot finish. Some...

Great wine, even more so when you consider the price.
Special occasion wine - it's been resting for 4 yrs in my basement and worth it.
So dark and thick - really almost too much in the beginning. It's fully bodied and it's too back that I don't have another one sitting in my cellar.
Agreed that it could be a little more tannic and less tar/tobacco

Had this gal in the cellar for a few years...not quite as great as I had hoped.
Very dark in the glass, almost opaque with the slightest hint of bricking on the rim. Surprisingly dull nose, some leather and rubber tires. Full bodied, stewed fruit, smoky. Still tannic for an 8yr old, but starting to soften. Quite a hot wine, 15% alcohol. Dry and heady.
I liked this wine..but I did not love it. It seemed a bit out of balance. Slightly sour, too much alcohol. A long, almost port-like finish.
I keep tasting it and going back and forth from 89 to 91...90 it is.

aromatics - I get vanilla, white pepper, dark chocolate, spice cake along with blackberry, black cherry and some faintly floral notes.
on the palate - loads of fruit up front; black cherry, deep dark raspberry, dark chocolate and some coffee like notes. Peppery transition to a long cherry finish with some interesting minerality punctuating the end. 15% alcohol is evident, but not overpowering. Tannins are very sedate. Nice friday night wine!
