Domaine Besancenot Beaune Theurons 1er Cru 2009, Ac
Pinot Noir
Burgundy, France
$35.95 (299909)
Outstanding Pinot Noir from the fine 2009 vintage. Aromas suggest sour cherry, plum, underbrush and cedar. Dry with plentiful fruit carrying forward onto the palate which is well supported by velvety tannins and fresh acidity. The finish is clean and generous. This fine-value Premier Cru Burgundy is a good choice for filet mignon or grilled lamb. It will also show well with 2-4+ years in a cellar, but there’s no real need to wait.
