The 2011 vintage shows typical gewurz aromas of lychee, yellow plum-pineapple fruit, musk perfume and evergreen. It’s full bodied, rich and powerful, with a touch of CO2 sprtizy freshness that should disappear by 2013. It’s full of flavour if not finesse, but that’s often the story with this blowsy grape.
