Coto De Hayas Centenaria Garnacha 2011, Do Campo De Borja
Grenache/Garnacha
Spain

Made exclusively with Garnacha (aka Grenache), this wine features aromas of sour cherry, plum, raspberry, spice and oak. Dry and very concentrated with fine tannins bringing outstanding balance. A very tasty wine with a long and lively finish. Cellar it up to 4 years, but it is drinking brilliantly right now with grilled lamb chops or wild game. (VINTAGES panel, July 2012)Critic Reviews (3)

Powerful fruit, vanilla and toasted coffee/chocolate aromas with added hints of mint on the palate. Quite jammy and sweet, but nicely balanced with an interesting structure. Like JS, I found it a bit too rich but I agree that this will have wide appeal. It's a nicely made fruit bomb!
