Light garnet to ruby in colour with a medium+ intense nose.
Positives: What a beautiful Pinot that is smooth & complex featuring pine, beets, cherry, strawberry, rhubarb, pomegranate, and burning leaves of the fall foliage. Medium to medium minus body with good acidity, a fairly long length & the alcohol is well integrated.
Negatives: None
Interesting Point: My best wine award at the Wine Tasting Challenge held in Toronto on 26 Nov 12.
Drink now or over the next 5 years on its own or pair it with roasted duck.

This is a seriously lovely, maturing wine at a very reasonable price right now (reduced to $25). Was expecting some a bit more plush, but it's also very fresh. Lots of ripe red fruit on the nose as well as some cola, smoke, and baking spice notes along with a bit of roasted beet. On the palate, it's medium-bodied with soft tannins and medium acidity. The flavours replay on the finish, with the tartness of the red fruit keeping everything from becoming too sweet on the long finish. This is one bridges the gap between New World and Old World styles and should be appealing to many. Tasted March'14
