An absolute bargain. Definitely a Pinot to keep on hand for when company comes over, or just for everyday drinking. Tasted December 2012.
Earthy with raspberry, herbs, and tea leaves on the nose. It has lots of ripe fruit, soft tannins, and is light to medium bodied. You could easily quaff a bottle of this during the winter. Fantastic value at the price.
Food paring dark chocolate covered dried tart cherries and almonds, garlic stuffed almonds and mixed nuts. Light and fruity.
I was very impressed with this wine for the price. Easily beats Pinots I've tried at over twice the cost. Typical cherry strawberry aromas and flavors with a nice smokey/spice wood influence make this wine eminently drinkable. Great acidity, nice overall balance, good finish. Not necessarily top shelf, but tremendous value.
Excellent value Pinot Noir.
I bought this on a WineAlign suggestion and wasn't disappointed. There's not as much earthiness as I like in my Pinot Noir, but that's okay, the vibrant red berry aromas more than make up for the wee hint of earthiness. Light and with some mouthwatering acidity on the finish, this would be an excellent food wine sure to please a table of guests.
