James Suckling's 92 point rating is plastered all over this bottle. That alone would have discouraged me from buying it in store, but given that I bought it online, I had not seen the label, As usual, JS has overrated a wine, but this Sangiovese-Cab Sauv blend is still a wine worth seeking out. Pleasant bright red fruits, some herbs, little interference from oak and food-friendly acidity on the finish. Good value. Tasted May 2020.
