50/50 blend of Grenache and Syrah. The complex, evolving bouquet has medium-high intensity aromatics that offer crushed rocks, ground spices, black plum, blackberry, dark fruits, and pepper that surround a meaty and earthy core. The palate is medium-full bodied has fresh acids with refined and textured tannins that offer some structure. Blackberry, pepper spice, garrigue, plum, earthy, and savoury notes on the flavour profile. Minerally and savoury on the long finish. Enjoy over the next 5 years. Tasted Apr/2019.

It's only wine but I like it

Like JS, I found this wine a bit angular and austere. Certainly, there is the usual spice-infused south Rhone dark fruit, but there Is an astringency that detracts a bit. I am tasting the wine 2+ years on from the WA team, so seems that not much softening has occurred. Maybe another 2 years?

Second night, this seemed to be less astringent, I'd say wait until late 2022 or 2023 to open.

Tasted July 2021.
