Complex nose of plums with a decidedly earthy note, plus menthol, cedar, anise, baking spices.
Black fruits predominate on the palate, with a long chalky finish. Savoury spice notes throughout. Slight burn to finish.
Tasted October 2018.

Strong aromas of blackberry and plum followed by thyme, asian five spice, lilac, leather, wet earth. There's a bit of a funk like wet sock, damp basement, or mushrooms. I can't decide how I feel about that part. It's a complex wine with many layers but off-balance (acid is high). Tannins are medium, alcohol high. Finish is long and enjoyable.
