Alanna McIntyre resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has worked at the independent wine shop, Bishop’s Cellar for 11 years as product specialist, sommelier and educator. She holds the WSET Level 3, the ISG Sommelier Diploma, is a Tidal Bay Independent Tasting Panel board member and judges local wine competitions. Alanna sat as an apprentice judge for the 2017 NWACs and 2018 will be her first year as an official judge. She is honoured to have the opportunity to judge in the most important wine competition in Canada alongside some of the best in the business.
